Finding a Good Rakeback Program

(2 votes)

Finding a Good Rakeback ProgramFinding a good rakeback program is much like finding a good poker room. A lot of emphasis on finding a poker site is on a quality customer support operation—email, real time chat or even phone support.

In addition to a good payment plan is vital—the poker room deposits money directly into your account and is never late on payments.

The exact same issues surround finding a rakeback provider. Unfortunately, a lot of players don’t put the same amount of time into finding a rakeback program as they do a poker room.

One of problems current players find is that they are unable to sign up for a rakeback program if they currently have an account open at a particular poker room. Rakeback deals are mostly a promotional campaign, like sign-up bonuses—a way to bring in new players. Existing players can’t sign up for a program unless they register with a new poker site. If you’re a new or existing player, your methods of tracking down the best rakeback program are going to be different.

If you’re already an established player, you’ll probably have to find a rakeback offer from a new poker site.

If you’re new to online poker, you have the pick of the litter. It’s such a large litter that it can be pretty overwhelming. There are two ways you can go about it. First, look for a rakeback deal and then see which poker rooms are connected to the rakeback affiliate.

Or else do it the opposite way: find a poker site first and then see which rakeback affiliates are connected to that site. You can’t just sign up for any old rakeback affiliate: you must find an affiliate that has a relationship with the poker room of your choice.

It’s probably a better idea to look for a poker room first as that’s where you’ll be spending most of your time. After all, the rakeback affiliate is just covering rakeback, not the actual games. Look for a poker site with a good software package, a wide variety of games, a steady stream of players, good customer support, and generally good reviews from past players.

You can then see if the site has a rakeback system in place. Oftentimes you won’t even know that rakeback is being handled by a third-party affiliate.

Looking for rakeback first can work as well. At the affiliate, it will list corresponding poker rooms. You can then research each poker room to see if it offers everything you need. This means you should hunt around on different rakeback affiliate sites for rakeback deals as some affiliates will offer better deals to the same poker room listed on another affiliate site.

Again, the affiliate you choose should be as stable as the poker room you're targeting.
