MP3 Player: How it can help Your Poker Game

Play Poker Today! An MP3 player is an invaluable tool when it comes to poker.  Studies have been conducted over the past few years which have proved a direct link between a poker player’s performance at a live poker table or online poker room and the type of music they listen to.

Poker is a highly charged emotional game, there is the poker player who will sit back quietly and play their game of poker without a sound and then on the other hand there is the “tilter” - the loud obnoxious poker player who will talk non-stop.

The tilter poker player can be very destructive to the game of poker. They will talk continuously, criticizing other poker players bets, calls, raises and general play.  They easily put other poker players on tilt causing them to react into making incorrect decisions and thus losing money; this is when an MP3 player is an invaluable tool.

The MP3 player is small enough to be kept in the pocket or sit on the lap at the poker table so will not be a distraction to the poker player or other poker players. It can store a large number of audio files so the poker player can load a variety of music or audio files they want to listen to during their game.

It’s ideal if the music or audio places the poker player into a calm state so that they can concentrate on their poker game whilst blocking out distractions at the same time.If a poker player is being disruptive to the poker table, all the poker player needs to do is turn on the MP3 player, tune into their favourite song or audio file and turn the volume up; this will block out any disruptive talk and will enable the poker player to concentrate on the game at hand.

Another advantage of an MP3 player at the poker table is if there is not much action in the poker game.  Hours can pass without a poker player playing in a hand and the poker player may become very tired and zone out of the poker game.

Music or an audio file will keep the poker player’s mind sharp and their concentration will be ready for when they do get a hand to play.

The MP3 will also be a welcomed distraction when the poker player does not want to listen to other poker players stories of bad beats, bad play and bad luck as this can also be destructive to a poker player’s game.
