Ok...I know I have been a bit slack with the blog of late but I have some good news. I have taken steps to ensure I have made quality time available to input decent material to discuss on the blog, I will be niching it more to the latest poker resources, websites, reviews, professonal poker players and live tournaments etc that will added on a more regular basis.
At the same time I will be running a completely seperate blog on blogger.com the address is http://www.somethingaboutpoker.blogspot.com this will be used as a more personal side note blog with more of my feelings on the game and my very own personal bad beats and the online poker challenge will be moved to this blog as well.
This way the Somethingaboutpoker.com blog can have more of an information approach to the website so that people can find what they are looking for rather than listen to my constant never ending bad beat stories!
The new blogs will be written fom the website administration still giving great information and we will inform everyone of new items constantly being added that we have discovered out there on the net.
Please enjoy the website blog and my own personal one at blogger.com which is available on the tab button on the top left.
We are now introducing Two Plus Two PokerCast Audio podcasts to our blog, we will be regularly adding these audios in streaming audio for your listening pleasure.

Russian young gun of poker Alexander Kostritsyn has just been crowned the undisputed poker champion of the south seas winning the 2008 Aussie Millions championship held in Melbourne, Australia today.
He won the title out maneuvering, out witting and out lasting over 780 players that showed up to the event either by satellites at the casino, satellites entered online or paying $10,000 AUD buy-in up front.
Alex won the final heads up against Full tilt poker pro Eric Seidel who is even more famous for coming second against legendary Johnny Chan as seen in the movie “Rounders” don’t feel sorry for Eric though, he walked away with a cool $1Million for second place.
For Crown Casino this has been another popular success for them with sponsorship from fulltiltpoker.net and with TV coverage of the event covered by Fox Sports Network (FSN) being extend for another year.
Well done Alex and everyone who attended we look forward to seeing everyone down under battling it out for the first grand slam of poker for the year in 2009.
Shane Warne, One of Australia’s if not the world’s best cricketers has been offered and has accepted a big deal with online poker site 888.com (Pacific Poker).
This is great news in Australia considering the only other famous celebrity in poker is 2005 WSOP champion Joseph Hachem who is sponsored by rival site PokerStars.com.
The two are actually great friends and share the same sports manager, Shane has been taking tutelage from Hachem to improve his game and will become be seen at various big $10 K Buy ins around the globe.
This will be very good for 888.com if they are hoping to breaking into the market in India as they treat Shane Warne as a complete idol over there, virtually the Michael Jordan of Cricket.
Warne is also infamous for being caught by the newspapers for sending sexual text messages to a woman in England only for his wife to find out and have their marriage troubles printed through all the media, the funny thing is Warne also was penalized recently for texting at a poker table during the Aussie Millions Main event…hhhmmm
Shane should do very well in poker once he gains the little nuances in the game, he has been a professional sportsman’s for such a long time that after a few years he will definitely start to show his class in the game of poker.
All the best to Shane Warne and our friends at 888.com, we wish them all the best in their venture.

The Aussie Millions is well on its way with the $10K Buy In Main Event starting tomorrow. All the poker stars are out warming up in the pre events and the high stakes cash games being played.
Normally you don't see large buy-in high stakes games during the year, however when the Aussie Millions is on you get all types of games from Holdem, Stud to Omaha 8 or better.
I went to the movies last night over at Crown Casino and saw lots of the "A list poker stars" out in force relaxing before the main event and trying to pick up some of the dead money on the tables. Phil Laak and Jennifer Tilly were going to the Movies, Patrick Antonius was walking with his wife and baby, Erick Lindgren strolling in the food court. Also on the tables was Mike "The Mouth" Matasouw, Joe Hachem in a PokerPro Tourney and one of my favourite cash game players, Eli Elizzira with a huge stack of $1000 Chips in front of him.
